What have I done to deserve this?” was released on August 1987 as the second single of “Actually”, the second studio album of PetShopBoys. The artwork was designed by Mark Farrow and PSB using a photograph by Eric Watson who decide to print a huge photo of Dusty Springfield and during the photo shooting, they borrowed a Harley-Davidson motorcycle to use as a prop with Neil and Chris on top. Farrow didn’t like the idea of the motorcycle because it wasn’t natural but the band decided to use it while choosing the final photo. The 7” and Cassette Singles included the original versión of “What have I done to deserve this?” and the B Side “A new life”. The 12” and CD Singles included also “What have I done to deserve this?” Extended & Disco Mixes. A second 12” Single was released in the US including two exclusive remixes of “What have I done to deserve this?” by Shep Pettibone.
